After a 2 to 3 hour drive from Manila, we arrived at Pundaquit. From there, we rented a boat to go to Anawangin. The boat ride lasted for around 15 to 20mins.

Before heading to Anawangin, we stopped by Capones Island. An island with huge rock formations and famous for its lighthouse. Since the weather was too hot, we opted not to go to the lighthouse anymore.

This what awaits in Anawangin.

A beautiful beach
A peaceful calm river
A gorgeous sunset
After trekking thru the river and the forrest, you'll end up in this vast open area. The site was just amazing.
For thrill seekers, You can also do a mini-mountain climb up the hill/beach cliff.
The view from top would leave one speechless...
If you're planning to stay overnight make sure to bring ur tents, sleeping bags, food and lots of water.
Travel Tip: I would suggest people to go during weekdays or the off season, the island could get really crowded during the peak season. The island has only four toilets and two water pumps, during peek season lines could be long.
